Althaia Mediterranean Lager beer is Althaia’s lager, the first beer brewed at the brewery and undoubtedly the one with the largest production and the most consumed in our beloved Costa Blanca of Alicante. With the Mediterranean Lager you will find a good blonde and natural beer. Made with only water, barley malt, hops and yeast. No preservatives, no additives, no coloring, no added gas. A 100% natural, fresh beer that feels good.

Tasting and Pairing

 

Appearance: Bright golden straw color, white and consistent foam.

Nose: Aroma of softly malted cereal that combines with the fresh and citric notes of hops.

Palate: A long-drinking, full-bodied beer with a good balance between the sweetness and cereal flavors and the freshness of the hops.

Pairing: A good lager is like a closet staple, it goes well with everything. Especially fresh and light meals, appetizers, fish, white meats, sushi, simple appetizers, salads, etc.

 

 

The Brewery

 

CERVEZAS ALTHAIA is born in the Marina Baixa, in the Mediterranean. The entire production process is located in the town of Altea.

CERVEZAS ALTHAIA refers to the ancient name of Altea. It is a Greek word meaning “I heal” or “I heal”. For Cervezas Althaia it symbolizes the two pillars of this project: on the one hand, the philosophy of brewing ethical beers, 100% natural with techniques that respect the product. The history of Althaia is also a beautiful love story, when Mayte came to Alicante to continue her professional career in the world of wine, she met Jorge. One day while tasting Jorge’s beers, Jorge confessed to her that his dream had always been to make a living from what he loved the most, making beer. Both, passionate about brewing, did not think twice and CERVEZAS ALTHAIA was born, with a trajectory of more than 10 years, many styles of beers brewed and a multitude of awards that endorse the factory behind it.
