Description
Dulces Sueños Monastrell
Vineyard and Winemaking
Dulces Sueños (Sweet Dreams) Monastrell is a sweet wine 100% Monastrell, with aromas of ripe fruit such as grapes and prunes with hints of pure cocoa.
In the mouth it is very pleasant, sweet and silky, whose acidity blends perfectly with the sweetness.
The production of Dulces Sueños Monastrell sweet wine is very small.
The oldest vines in the winery are used for this production and are left to over-ripen in the vineyard in order to obtain the maximum concentration. When it is time to vinify, long macerations are left with the skins until the desired wine is obtained. The result is a sweet and delicate red wine.

The Winery
The origin of Santa Catalina del Mañán, popularly known in its beginnings as Bodega del Mañán, dates back to 1962 with the foundation of a large winery in the plain of Mañán, Monóvar.
The current winery owes its name to the patron saint of the town, and has been expanded over the years to reach a harvest of 5 and a half million kilos of grapes and a fleet of French oak barrels and American oak barrels for aging wines, as well as the wine that characterizes the province of Alicante throughout history, the Fondillón.
The history of the winery is the result of the initiative of some thirty farmers with their own wineries, who came together to solve a logistical problem regarding the transport of wine, creating the great winery of Mañán, with better facilities, logistical conditions and location.
Courageous and hard-working winegrowers among whom we highlight Francisco Paya Hernández and Silvestre Pérez, as founders and architects of such a fruitful union.
