Vineyard and Winemaking
Grapes from vineyards located in the interior of the province of Valencia. Long-lived vineyards with more than 30 years of age. Cultivated in calcareous clay soils, strictly dry. Due to the scarcity of water these vineyards have a low production but of very high quality.
These climatic characteristics endow their grape varieties with a strong personality.

The Winery
Bodegas Arráez is located in Font de la Figuera, in the province of Valencia. It was built on three old wineries of private winegrowers. Located in a privileged environment, the natural setting of Terres Dels Alforins, it has been reformed and adapted to new production and bottling techniques over time. It currently has modern production facilities, a bottling line equipped with the latest technology and a room for aging high quality wines.
Toni Arráez Calabuig, director since 2007, has been a revolution, bringing his personality and vision of modern wine, modern and modern, without losing the essence of the area in which they are produced, and the long tradition of the family.
Throughout its 67 years of history, this winery has been captained by three generations of Arráez who knew how to read the needs of the society to which they belonged. Toni’s grandfather, Antonio Arráez Garrigós, had the brilliant idea of building a winery in 1950. He began marketing his wines both in bulk and bottled thanks to the incorporation of new oenological, viticultural and commercial techniques.
In 1980 came the industrialization and internationalization of the company under the leadership of Mr. Antonio Arráez Ibanco. From this stage we highlight the great growth of exports, reaching record highs, as well as the exponential growth of the workforce.
The vineyards are located 90 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea and at an altitude of 600-800 meters between 2 valleys whose orientation generates a Mediterranean-Continental microclimate that together with the poor soils form a perfect combination for the cultivation of quality grapes.
