This gourmet salt is mined in an ancient cave more than 260 millions years old located in northern Iran. The blue is caused by ‘sylvite’, a variant of crystal potassium chloride. This salt has a high iron, calcium and potassium content, which helps the body regulate water balance, levels of acidity and blood pressure. This salt does not contain any known allergens or specific components. It doesn´t contain any additives and it’s gluten free. Persian Blue Salt is one of the considered the cleanest and purest salts, as it come from oceans that have dried up more than 200 million years ago, and free of any contamination.
