December long weekend arrives and with it one of the most anticipated events of Christmas in Alicante: the Xixona Christmas Fair, which this year celebrates its ninth edition. This year for the first time the celebrations will last 5 days: from 6 to 10 December, taking advantage of the holidays of the Immaculate Conception and the Constitution. Xixona (or Jijona) is filled with Christmas spirit, starting with its beautiful life-size Nativity scene that you will find at the entrance of the village in the Barranc de la Font, at the foot of the remains of the castle.
And once you have parked the car, you just have to walk around and enjoy the stalls of the artisan nougat makers where you can taste and buy the best nougats, turron and pastry. In addition, there will be multiple activities for the whole family: workshops, carols, parades, performances, food trucks area and much more.
