The Herbero is a very typical drink of Alicante whose word comes from ‘herbs’. Herbero Tenis is the result of the maceration of a careful selection of herbs from the Alicante mountains, specifically from the Sierra of Mariola Natural Park, which gives it a unique flavor. This maceration of herbs takes place on a base of sweet aniseed.

It is a perfectly balanced Herbero with aromas of the countryside and Mediterranean herbs such as thyme and chamomile. Its sweet flavor makes it the ideal accompaniment to desserts and after-dinner drinks. We recommend drinking it very cold, with lots of ice.

The Distillery

 

Three generations of entrepreneurs endorse the trajectory of Limiñana y Botella SL, founded in 1921, 100 years ago, dedicated to the manufacture of Aniseed and Liqueurs under the trademark TENIS.

The company was founded by Mr. Francisco Limiñana Belda and Mr. Antonino Botella Limiñana and is still managed by the third generation of the family.

Tradition and technology have come together to consolidate an offer of quality products that reinforces the taste of craftsmanship, the traditional flavors that have accompanied the products of Destilerías Tenis since its inception.

In the first decades of the Tenis Distillery, the production was handcrafted. The 1960s marked the beginning of the mechanization of the production process, with the incorporation of the first machinery that paved the way for the current technology where all production is automated.
